My Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is quite nice to take on a ride. The only issue is that when there’s no WiFi around, there’s no Internet at all. I used to have a Novatel MiFi 2352 3G hotspot but it died. All I have left is a data-only SIM card and an Huawei E220 USB modem.

I got an ICYBOX IB-RD2262USEb RAID Enclosure for 2.5" HDDs to plug some of my spare SATA disks into my Mac.

Another nice feature is that is also has an eSATA plug so that I may later connect it to my Synology.Continue reading...
I just got a Crucial C300 SSD to plug in my Mac. And it came in revision 02 ; but the latest bug free firmware is revision 07.

Reboot, use ‘alt’ to drop to the boot selector and select the CD drive ; it appears as “Windows”. Let the process find your drive and upgrade the firmware to 06. When done, reboot.Continue reading...
My Freebox Revolution Player is wiredly connected to the Freebox Revolution FTTH via an Apple AirPort Extreme. This morning, the AirPort told me it was expecting the 7.6 upgrade. I did upgrade it and everything seemed to be working OK (MacBook, Dell Latitude, Solaris server…)
Then I powerred on the Freebox Player… which couldn’t reach the Freebox Server anymore… After a few cabling checks, I downgraded the AirPort to 7.5.2… And the Player did connect to the Server right away.Continue reading...
