Convert MOV video into XVID
78 words, 1 minutes
My camera records movies in .MOV (Codec JPEG still images, 30 FPS) format. This makes a 2.5 minutes video about 200MB… That’s a bit to much for Internet sharing.
What I’ll do is encode those video file into Xvid:
# mencoder VIDEO.MOV -oac mp3lame -ovc xvid -lameopts vbr=0:br=96 -xvidencopts bitrate=800 -o MIEUX.AVI
This make the video about 16MB (Codec XVID MPEG-4 30 FPS) :-D
[EDIT 31/10/2010] You can also use QuickTime Player and its “Save for Web” menu.
